Artist Statement

My work tells the story of my experience as a 20-year-old person of Japanese, Venezuelan, and German descent—growing up in the conservative state of Arkansas and now living in Brooklyn, NYC, since August 2023. My current art practice explores themes such as my authentic self, reclaiming personal sovereignty, expanding my soul/consciousness, exploring independence, and missing home.

I use my art as a tool to bring awareness and educate others on issues such as the Black, Venezuelan, and Indigenous crises, dementia, mental health, spirituality, self-authenticity, and the ascension of human consciousness. As an Artivist and Conscious Creator, I see it as my responsibility to use my artistic gifts and personal experiences in an educational and inspiring way—unifying the collective through a shared interest in art and the uplifting of humanity. My art shows others that they can transmute pain and trauma into self-love, beauty, authenticity, and sovereignty. I believe in a world where everyone is worthy and deserving of love, respect, kindness, acceptance, and freedom.

My artistic direction is evolving as I integrate my skills to create a multidimensional experience. Right now, I am deeply interested in exploring all things sound healing and collaborating with others to develop immersive, innovative technologies that unlock new ways of healing. This expansion allows me to bridge my art, music, and storytelling with deeper energetic and transformative experiences.

At the core of this evolution is Ethereal Hibiscus—an alien, a cosmic traveler, and an archetype for alienation, self-transformation, and spiritual evolution. This character has always existed within me, but I am now stepping into my full power, embodying the aspects of myself that have long felt disempowered. Ethereal Hibiscus is an extension of my being, birthed from my experiences of feeling othered yet finding strength and purpose within that difference.

The album I plan to drop later this year is both a sonic autobiography and a universal bridge, inviting others to recognize and validate their own cosmic origins and inner world. This fusion of sound, visuals, and storytelling allows my work to exist beyond the material—becoming an immersive, spiritual journey.
